Women's Health & Pregnancy

Women's Health refers to comprehensive women’s health care as well as health issues that are unique to women, including:

  • Pregnancy
  • Menopause
  • Conditions of the Female Organs

Be sure to get early and regular prenatal care to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy. You should also get recommended breast cancer, cervical cancer, and bone density screenings.

Our goal is to ensure the health and readiness of all women at every stage of life.

We don’t provide Women’s Health services here at the California Medical Detachment, however, women’s health services are a TRICARE-covered benefit. We will refer you to a TRICARE network provider. TRICARE covers many Women’s Health services, including screening, preventive, and reproductive care.

TRICARE Covered Services

TRICARE covers well-woman exams annually for women under age 65 with no cost-share or copayment. TRICARE offers coverage for many women’s health services, including:

Sick Call Hours

229th Military Intelligence Battalion Sick Call begins at 5 a.m., Building 630 (next to the chaplain’s office). 229th MIB permanent party are seen starting at 6 a.m.

Air Force Sick Call begins at 6:30 a.m., Building 830.
