About
The Presidio of Monterey Army Dental Clinic provides general dental care to Active Duty Service Members of all branches of the Armed Forces assigned to the Presidio of Monterey, U.S. Coast Guard Station Monterey and the local area. Some specialty care may be referred to civilian providers in the local community under the TRICARE Active Duty Dental Program. A dentist is on call after normal business hours to provide emergency dental treatment.
Service Members who experience a dental emergency while on block leave and greater than 50 miles from Presidio of Monterey should first attempt to seek care at a military dental clinic if one is located nearby. If not, then treatment may be provided by a civilian dentist using the remote TRICARE Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP). Click on 'Active Duty Service Members', next click on 'Emergencies' and then click on 'Remote ADSMs' for more information.
Contact United Concordia Companies Inc. (UCCI), which administers the TRICARE Active Duty Dental Program at (1-866-984-2337) 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., eastern time and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., eastern times on Saturdays in order to coordinate civilian dental care. If unable to contact UCCI, Service Members may locate a civilian dentist using the ADDP website by clicking on 'Find a Dentist'. Emergency dental care does not require an authorization or Appointment Control Number. It is highly recommended to use a UCCI network dentist to ensure full coverage. Make sure the dental office annotates 'emergency' on the insurance claim form.
